What is Veterinary Physiotherapy?

By using a hollistic and scientific, evidence based approach; Veterinary Physiotherapists are able to assess and apply safe and effective treatments tailored to your pets needs.

Whether it be post-surgery, post-injury, fitness or general maintenance care; physiotherapy can be used to help promote healing, improve well-being, function and performance.

What conditions will benefit from physiotherapy?

The answer is... many! Below is a rough guide as to some of the most common conditions that physiotherapy can aid- whether it be managed conservatively or surgically:

  • Hip dysplasia 

  • Elbow dysplasia

  • Patella luxation

  • Cruciate ligament rupture

  • Soft tissue injuries

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Fractures

  • Neurological conditions e.g. degenerative myelopathy, intervertebral disc disease, spondylosis, fibrocartilagenous embolism

  • Fitness and performance

A range of species can benefit from physiotherapy- not just dogs and horses! To name a few; cats, rabbits and farm animals can also enjoy some extra care.

Veterinary consent

To ensure my treatment is safe, I legally need to obtain veterinary consent prior to assessing and treating your pet. Please use the link below to download a form for you to fill and give to your veterinarian.

If needed, I can contact your vet to gain consent myself but I will still need you to fill out the form.
